Myanmar citizens will be heading to the polls on 8 November 2020. This will be the second time they are doing so since the end of military rule in 2011.

How has Myanmar progressed and has it met expectations with regard to its opening and reforms? Let us hear from Associate Professor Simon Tay, Chairman of the SIIA, on his perspectives on Myanmar’s prospects ahead of the general elections. He is also the author of “Shadows Across The Golden Land: Myanmar’s Opening, Foreign Influence and Investment”, a recently launched book which provides readers with insights on Myanmar with through analyses and on-the-ground experience.

“Shadows Across The Golden Land: Myanmar’s Opening, Foreign Influence and Investment” is now available in bookstores (NUS Coop, Bookhaven, Kinokuniya and Goguru) in Singapore and online.
